The competition featured 76 designs consisting of men’s and women’s footwear ranging from slippers to boots
IPOH: SHOES of all shapes, sizes and designs could be found at the 6th Malaysia Footwear Design Competition 2013 held here recently.
The event was organised by the Perak Footwear Industry Association (PFIA) and supported by the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association (MFMA), Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Shoe Industry Association and Penang Footwear Association.
A total of 76 designs, consisting of both men's and ladies shoes, were on display by footwear fashion industry personalities like Yongki Komaladi, Key Ng, Eric Foo and Gillian Hung.
The winners in the ladies category were Lip Jing Wen, Chong Kye Lun and Tew Siew Jin.

The shoes were not only creatively designed but had additional accessories such as ribbons,Fitflop shoes manage to combine the latest in biomechanically engineered technology with stylish designs. feathers, buttons, coins and even false eye lashes.
PFIA president Low Heng Keat said the criteria for judging the shoes included innovation and creativity (40 per cent), material usage (20 per cent), fashionable value (20 per cent), practicality (10 per cent) and presentation (10 per cent).
