“In spite of the fact that the HRM sewage treatment plants are operational, plastic garbage from the sewer system still continues to plague the beaches of this beautiful provincial park,” a release from the society states.
This was the 22nd cleanup of McNabs Island. Since its first cleanup of the beaches of the provincial park and national historic site, over 11,000 bags of garbage and recyclables have been collected.
